The Weekly Edit

There's something magical about autumn at Feather & Oak - a season that reminds us how beautiful transformation can be. This week has been filled with moments that celebrate exactly that: from personal milestones (26 years of marriage!) to the launch of Your Dream Home Academy.

Between virtual design projects that prove distance is no barrier to beautiful spaces, and a special motorisation announcement coming Monday (your mornings are about to get a whole lot more luxurious!), we've been celebrating the many ways design can enhance life's precious moments.

Keep scrolling for all the heartwarming details that made this week so special! 🤍 Pour yourself a cuppa and let's catch up on all things Feather & Oak... 🫖

1. Heart & Home

This week, as Edward and I celebrated 26 years of marriage (cue those wonderfully nostalgic wedding photos!), I found myself reflecting on how homes are really chapters in our life stories.

Your messages sharing your own precious home memories - first homes, family gatherings, quiet morning coffees - touched my heart and reminded me why creating meaningful spaces matters so much. It's never just about the design; it's about crafting the backdrop for life's beautiful moments...

And seeing the photos of our own journey from that wedding day to now, through all the homes we've lived in and spaces we've created together, makes me appreciate even more deeply how intertwined our homes are with our most treasured memories. 💕

2. Dream Building

 3. Styling Stories

Speaking of transformations... here's a little styling secret I often share with clients: The most impactful spaces aren't about following trends, they're about layering stories.

Start with a meaningful piece (perhaps a cherished artwork or family heirloom), then build your room's personality around it. The magic happens when you mix textures - perhaps a nubby linen cushion against sleek velvet, or matt ceramics alongside glossy glass. It's these thoughtful combinations that make a room feel collected rather than decorated. And the best part? This approach works whether you're styling a grand entrance or a cozy reading nook... it's all about creating those perfect 'pause points' that make you smile every time you walk past.

Design Tip

Start your design story with pieces that spark joy - whether it's Gran's vintage china cabinet, that vibrant Turkish bazaar find, or a beloved artwork - and let these treasured items inspire your entire room's personality.

Excited About...
