The Weekly Seven
Asian royal gardens, bright & bold designs and moments of reflection -
there's so many things I've been loving this week!
Take a peek at my latest Weekly Seven.
1. Royal Gardens
I can't help but be drawn to this gorgeous wallpaper collection featuring pretty blossoms and painterly florals. It's inspired by the historic exuberance of the Asian royal gardens, and I can definitely see why. The colours are absolutely stunning, and the overall design is just so beautiful. I think it would be perfect for a living room or bedroom, and it would definitely add a touch of luxury to any space. I'm definitely crushing on this wallpaper collection!!!
2. Anna Spiro
I'm in a celebration of colour and pattern this week! This collection by Anna Spiro is a juxtaposition of bright bold prints with an array of coloured patterns on natural linen basecloths. They are eye-catching and would make any room feel alive!
Ranging from pretty florals to geometric designs, I am loving how the collection includes colours that are both vibrant and subdued.
3. Beautiful Shapes
A vase is such a personal thing, don't you think? It's a way of expressing your own unique style and I love coming across somebody else's beautiful arrangement. It's like a little snapshot into their lives and what they love! I particularly love a pair of structured dried blooms or stalks that can look quite structural but also create pretty shadow patterns in the winter sunlight.
4. Faux Fur Bliss
There is nothing quite like snuggling up with a soft throw on a cold winter day, am I right? My new favourite Pele throw is made from a rich faux fur that will bring a touch of luxury to any living space. The luxurious texture is perfect for adding an extra layer of warmth to your bed or sofa, and the colours will complement any décor. It's surely going to become my new favourite way to stay warm all winter long.
5. Moroccan Mint Tea
I'm always on the hunt for new, yummy teas. We've just got this blissful new Moroccan mint tea in-store and I can assure you, it leaves you feeling happy, revitalised and is like a hug in a mug. Made from the finest organic green tea blended with organic mint grown one hour south of Marrakech. The mint is especially important as it's said to have numerous benefits such as settling your stomach, fighting bad breath and even being a pain reliever. Come by and give it a try, I think you'll love it too!
6. What To Know When
I'm really excited about this new blog series - "What To Know When." It's your chance to ask me any burning questions related to design and styling. There are so many unanswered (or poorly!) answered questions online and it's time to debunk some myths and break things down for you. This week on the blog we're talking about upholstery. Choosing the right fabric for your upholstery can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. I'll break down some different types of fabric and their durability, so you can make the best decision possible. Check it out and let me know what you think!
7. Matariki
As we recognised Matariki officially for the first time in New Zealand on Friday I was interested to find out a little more about this celebration. Traditionally Maori used this time of year to reflect and reset, gather together, honour those who have died, celebrate the present and plan for the future.
This really resonated with me, as I'm not sure about you, but the first half of this year has been BUSY!! I have taken some time out over the weekend to slow down, be grateful for the journey, reminisce with the children about those I love and miss dearly, and look ahead to the rest of year. I hope you have had a chance to take a moment this weekend too!
