The Weekly Seven
Hello, Sunday! Check out all the beautiful things I'm loving this week - from thoughtful ways to pay it forward, Christmas cookies & new, cosy cushions - what's not to love!
1. Flamencos
My wallpaper crush this week features a group of seriously graceful flamingos. The balanced colours in combination with natural woven jute give a calm touch that would suit a wide variety of interior styles.
2. Santa Fe
Meet Santa Fe - this fabric takes inspiration from the mesas, plains and plateaus of the majestic desert, illustrating these geographical forms, via tactile yarns and natural raw fibres. I just love it's heavy carpet like construction and weighty weave!
3. Pay It Forward
Eeep! How adorable is this Santa Mug? We've had a whole batch land in-store just in time for Christmas - I'm definitely scooping a few up to take home for myself and the kids to enjoy some cosy hot chocolate in!
4. White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies
Our resident chef, Sammy has been busy creating some festive recipes for the lead-up to Christmas - and oh boy - these cookies are a hit in the Husband household!! We are advocates for fuss free, delicious meals and snacks - and these cookies tick alllll of the boxes.
5. Christmas Tree Debut
We took our decorating skills to the local Soroptomist Christmas Tree Festival this year - we opted for a simple yet thoughtful colour palette of whites, gold, silver and natural textures. Check out these cute hand painted leopards we made too!!
If you would like to support this fund raising venture for Karanga Mai Parents College and Rachels House Trust then head to the Rangiora Council Building and contribute a gold coin donation on entry..
6. Capiz Shell
I am just in love with these Capiz shell designs that have landed at our store -they will add a serious touch of glam to your living space! The design is truly striking and is perfect for those wanting a fresh unique aesthetic Capiz comes from the shell of the Placuna placenta mollusk, which is native to the seas of Southeast Asia, specifically Indonesia and the Philippines. The mollusks are edible, which means fisherman can harvest them for their meat and reduce waste by reusing their shells for décor and handicrafts.
7. Mediterranean Blues
We've had a bunch of cosy cushions inspired by the alluring blue hues, patterns and textures of the Mediterranean. I'm in love! It's a great time to revamp and bring a breath of fresh air into your living space for the entertainment season.
