The Weekly Edit

This week we have some updates on our client’s gorgeous inner-city townhouse and we showcase Mexican themes on trend.

Lastly we bring you a delicious Carrot Cake to make for Easter.

Can you believe it is nearly April already?

1. Inner-city Townhouse

We've thoroughly enjoyed the process of transforming this inner-city Modern Glam townhouse, and we're thrilled to announce that the downstairs is now mostly completed. Our attention is now turning to the upstairs area, starting with the powder room.

We're excited about the prospect of incorporating a stunning floral wallpaper by Mind the Gap, complemented by a sleek and elegant long tile from Dakota Tiles, along with luxurious brush gold tap-ware.

Throughout the house, pops of vibrant colour add a dynamic flair and witnessing the evolution of this space from its original state to its current glamorous incarnation has been a dream come true for us.

2. Mexicano!

Mexican-themed interiors have surged in popularity recently, with a vibrant fusion of elements capturing attention. Black and white tiles evoke a timeless charm, offering a striking backdrop reminiscent of traditional Mexican haciendas. Cacti, with their sculptural forms, add a touch of desert allure, infusing spaces with natural warmth and texture.

Bright colours, reminiscent of Mexican folk art, inject vitality and playfulness into interiors, creating dynamic focal points. From vivid wall accents to intricately patterned textiles, this trend celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Mexico. Talk to us about inviting this lively and layered trend into your home!

 3. Easter is Coming!

Easter is just around the corner, and it's hard to believe that it's already nearly April—time seems to fly by! With Easter approaching next weekend now's the perfect time to start planning and get in early to grab some Easter eggs before they sell out. Whether you're a chocolate enthusiast or not, it's always wise to secure your favourite treats ahead of time.

4. Katy's Mini Edit

Loving for 2024

I have been seeing antique pots in a lot of spaces around Christchurch at the moment and I am thinking of getting some for an area in our backyard. You could definitely use them indoors too!

Design Tip

When choosing pots consider incorporating a variety of plant heights, textures and colours to create visual interest. Start with the focal point then surround it with complimentary foliage plants of varying heights.

Tips For March

Start planning for your Easter Egg Hunt now! They can be so much fun and a great way to entertain the kids or grandchildren over the weekend. You could include activities like painting and decorating eggs, drawing the best bunny picture and of course, Easter baking!
