Candy Cane Caprese Board

It's Day 16 of our #FeatherAndOakAdvent and we know that things can get pretty decadent during the holidays with sweets and heavy appetizers rolling in like wild fire!! We feel it is nice to have an appetizer on offer that is a little bit on the healthier side (but still delicious!) This Candy Cane Caprese Board is a simple way to impress your guests this time of year. It’s cute and festive, but it’s really delicious and easy to make too!

Candy Cane Caprese Board
Ingredients:
- 2 balls of buffalo mozzarella, thinly sliced
- 3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
- fresh basil leaves to garnish
- olive oil to garnish
- cracked pepper & flaky sea salt
- toasted baguette or crackers of choice, for serving
- balsamic glaze, for serving
Method:
- Start at the top end of the candy cane shape and alternate layering a slice of fresh mozzarella with a slice of tomato until you get a candy cane shape.
- Place fresh basil leaves around the board and a small serving bowl with the balsamic glaze.
- Just before serving, drizzle the mozzarella and tomatoes with a touch of olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and cracked pepper. Enjoy!
