The Weekly Edit
This week we talk about the difference between Interior design and Styling, give you some tips of how to style your shelving units and share a delicious Autumn recipe.
1. Interior Design VS Styling
This is often confusing topic so I will do my best to explain the difference...
Interior Design encompasses the planning and execution of a space’s layout and functionality while styling focuses on the decorative aspects and arrangement of furnishings to enhance the overall visual appeal.
Interior Design addresses the broader elements often from the initial building stages, such as spatial planning and architectural considerations. Styling adds the finishing touches to reflect personal style and overall ambience.

2. Style Your Shelves
Styling a set or a group of shelves can be tricky so here are some tips!
Aim for a balanced look by distributing items of varying heights and sizes throughout. Mix and match objects such as books, vases, baskets, decorative objects, candles and plants and incorporate textures and materials such as wood, ceramic and glass. Choose a colour scheme that complements the room's decor, experiment with layers to create depth and dimension and use odd numbers when grouping items.
Do not overcrowd, leave empty spaces to add depth and dimension. Personalise it by adding some pictures and don't be afraid to keep experimenting until you achieve your desired look.
3. Hello Autumn
The cooler days are among us as another summer officially ends. It is always sad to say goodbye to summer but hopefully we can still see some warm days ahead.
Make sure to utilise the summer stone fruit as well as vegetables that get super expensive in winter, like zucchini. Follow the link below or head to @every.daysimple instagram page to find a delicious Zucchini Soup that you can freeze for the upcoming winter months.

Loving for 2024
I We have recently put together a selection of wool throws for a client. Throws provide both warmth and coziness to a space whilst adding a touch of luxury. Plus they are delicious to cuddle up with!
Design Tip
When styling a shelf or larger area remember the “rule of three’. Select three focal points or grouping of items to create visual interest and balance. For example a stack of books with an object on top, a framed photo with a small plant and a unique sculpture or vase.
Tips For March
