The Weekly Edit

We’re thrilled to showcase our client’s Lukeke Bird’s installation, which has completely transformed her stairwell. Plus, we’re sharing three expert tips to help you maximise natural light in your home.

As an added bonus, enjoy a complimentary automation upgrade for your roller blinds, honeycomb blinds and venetians.

1. Lukeke Birds

Using Lukeke Birds as an artistic feature on the stairwell in Hanmer Springs added a stunning, dynamic element to the space. The delicate glass sculptures brought life and movement, turning the stairwell into a captivating focal point.

We were all in awe of how beautifully they turned out, with the vibrant colours and intricate details adding a unique touch to the otherwise simple space. Watching the process from start to finish was truly inspiring, as each bird was chosen and positioned in a layout that was carefully crafted by the designer Luke Jacobs and the client.

If you need help selecting the perfect art or adding those finishing touches to tricky spaces, like stairwells, we’re here to assist. Whether it’s choosing statement pieces or enhancing the look of your home, get in touch here to bring your vision to life.

2. Bright Spaces

Maximising natural light in your home can transform your living spaces, making them feel more open, airy, and welcoming.

One effective way to enhance natural light is by strategically placing mirrors across from windows. Mirrors reflect light, bouncing it around the room and creating the illusion of a brighter, more spacious area. Choosing light, airy window treatments can also help.

Opt for sheer or light-coloured curtains that allow sunlight to filter through while maintaining privacy. Another tip is to keep your interior colour palette light and neutral. Lighter walls and furnishings reflect natural light better than darker tones, helping to brighten up the entire room.

By implementing these simple strategies, you can make the most of the natural light available in your home, creating a more vibrant and inviting atmosphere.

 3. Automation Deal

For the months of August and September, we’re excited to offer free motorisation on our Mikronwood Venetian Blinds, Roller Blinds, and Honeycomb blinds. Loving for 2024

I came across these gorgeous stylish Hibiscus Flower Lamp from Mister Lamp in Auckland and I think they are so gorgeous! They are actually on sale at the moment too!

Design Tip

When choosing blinds, roller blinds are a versatile option for a clean, modern look, while honeycomb blinds offer excellent insulation, perfect for temperature control. For a classic wood appearance that’s moisture-resistant, Mikronwood blinds are ideal, especially in kitchens or bathrooms.
